Last night we enjoyed these wonderful and very easy Pita Pizzas. They are one of my favorite quick meals to make and everyone loves them ( well at least in my family they do). I love this recipe because there are so many different versions you can make with it. You can swap ingredients and it will still be amazing. Here is what we ate last night:
Ingredients:
Olive oil
1 lb of ground beef
2-3 cloves of garlic grated
1/2 yellow onion chopped
1 red bell pepper chopped
1 can diced italian tomatoes
4 cups shredded mixed italian cheese (more if desired)
4 pita bread slices
Pre heat oven to 375
Recipe:
Over medium heat brown up ground beef, garlic, and onion. Drain fat from pan, and add in bell pepper cook 2-3 minutes. Stir in can of tomatoes to meat mixture. Place the 4 pita slices on a cookie sheet and spoon meat mixture onto each of the slices. Then cover the slices with cheese and bake about 15-20 minutes untill cheese is melty and bubbly!
